1. Acknowledgment of Risks

 

I, the undersigned participant (or legal guardian if under 18), acknowledge that surfing, ocean activities, and physical training involve inherent risks including, but not limited to:

• Physical injury (e.g., sprains, fractures, drowning)

• Exposure to unpredictable ocean conditions

• Collisions with surfboards, other participants, or natural objects

• Effects of heat, cold, sun, fatigue, and dehydration

 

I understand and voluntarily accept all risks, both known and unknown, associated with participating in activities organized by Sandpiper Surf Academy and its partners (including Dharma Entrenamiento).

 

2. Assumption of Responsibility

 

I agree to assume full responsibility for my own safety and actions during participation in any activity, including lessons, training, and surf excursions. I understand that instructors may provide safety instructions, but the ocean and physical environment carry unpredictable dangers.

3. Medical Fitness and Disclosure

 

I affirm that I am in good physical condition and capable of safely participating in surfing and physical training activities.

• I do not have any medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations that would endanger myself or others.

• I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions (e.g., asthma, epilepsy, recent surgeries, allergies) prior to participation.

• I agree to notify instructors immediately if I feel unwell or unsafe at any time.

 

4. Release and Waiver

 

In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release and discharge Sandpiper Surf Academy, its owners, instructors, employees, affiliates, and partners from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action arising out of or related to:

• Personal injury

• Property loss or damage

• Death

 

This release applies whether the cause arises from my own actions, the actions of others, equipment failure, ocean conditions, or the negligence of any party.

 

5. Indemnification

 

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sandpiper Surf Academy and all affiliated parties from any legal claims, demands, or lawsuits, including attorney’s fees, brought by or on behalf of myself or any third party as a result of my participation.
